Default Klink and Dink

When fishing New Zealand style would a size 16 klink hold a bead head size 16 PTN ok?
Also, concerning hook sizes when klinking and dinking is there a sprecific rule regarding sizes, for example which size 'klink' is beter suited to which size 'dink'?

Any help appreciated,
regards Morgan

Hi ,used this method only yesterday on the river dee and caught 4 grayling .I would say a size 16 would be okay depending on the ammount of hackle turns you have.Again what type and size of weight you have on your nymph.I use a size 14 klinkhammer and use a nymph with a 3.5mm tungsten bead and it will float all day, hope this helps mark.PS ITS A CASE OF TRIAL AND ERROR THERE IS NO WRONG OR RIGHT. jUST TO ADD I USE TMC AERO DRY WING FOR MY POST AND DILLY WAX TO AID FLOATABILITY AS AND WHEN REQUIRED.
