Default hopper legs

right guys I'm looking for the best way to tie up hopper legs ready for use, before anyone says it I'm already considering buying the made up legs on the feather.
i am interested in any little tools out their to help do this,, and also any other ingenious smart ways of achieving this by hand.

I tie up batches at a time, I form the loop by hand then pull through with some fine nosed tweezers. Its a bit boring but I get to control proportions and length.

The easist way i found out is by hand. Hold the point of the pheasant tail fibre between thumb and fore finger and pass the thick end through the loop ajusting the knot by still holding the point, Hope this helps. Dale

i jus tie them with my hands, one or two knots on a single fiber will do.

its much cheaper to tie them your self. i tie them when watching TV. You will have to have good eyes to tie them

I've just bought some from Celtic Flycraft. I suppose it's a balance between time and money but I'd rather spend the time I have for fly tying on the creative bit rather than tying knots in pheasant tail. The thing I'd like to know is who ties up all those knotted PT feather for the suppliers?????

It will most likely be small kids and women in India , Africa or China . Pay for them will be something like 10p 100 feathers

Maybe not 10p per 100 but you get my point .
