Default Phil @ Spidersplus/ Fly Tying Boutique

Just a little note to say 'Thanks' to Phil @ Spidersplus....

I ordered some of the Swiss CDC 'Standard' in 'Khaki', on Tuesday night, which was promptly delivered this morning.

Phil dropped me an email saying that he was going to refund 50% of my P+P due to the 'lightess' of the parcel!... Not many companies would do such a thing!!

The SWISS CDC is lovely to tie with, having already used a bag of it today!!

Thanks Phil!!! Nice Work!

Carl

Carl,

Great to hear that the envelope arrived - and that you like the CDC!

(I personally think it's the best that I have tied with)

Kind regards and hoping to be of service to you again.

Thumbs up

Another thumbs up for Phil, top advice as well as top service.

The Marryat Scissors are extremely good and not expensive. I also got some of the Gordon Griffiths Sheer Thread 14/0 on Phils say so. I find this very easy to tie with even as a beginner.

Phil,

Which of the listed feathers is nearest the natural colour? I only ask, as you don't list 'Natural' as a choice.

Carl

I went 50/50 on a Argey Hare Selection Box with Bigfoot, and I have to agree, lovely stuff!!!! I've already made a large dent in my 50% of the Black Argey Hare.

I for one would recommend it to anyone

Carl

Phil, bring plenty of gear to the fly fair , you've got a fan club. I will hopefully be there to relieve you of some Argentinian hare etc

Carl, (sorry - Captain Scarlett) ...

The "Grey Khaki" is the nearest to wild mallard CDC - albeit a little darker than the natural that Steve Cooper sells.

The "Dark Brown" is also a natural (undyed) colour ...

Kind regards

I will just put in another endorsement for Phil. I ordered a half cape on Sunday. I got an email on Wednesday saying that he had been ill on Monday but the cape had been sent of on Tuesday. It arrived Wednesday morning. Really excellent service and great materails too.
