Would like to tie my first pike fle and hoping to tie the Dahlberg Diver.

Does anyone know where I can buy the Softex from?

You could try Orvis, they used to list it some years ago.

It seems to have fallen out of favour over here for some reason.

What is it you are hoping to try & do with it, as there may well be an alternative that's easier to get such as clear silicone mastic sealant, or ..... ?

It's not available here. A similar product is Plastidip.

You'll need the thinner also.

UKsaltwaterflies sells it but it's much cheaper from the above website. Softex is pretty much the same as thinned Plasti Dip.

Thanks guys I have not long started tying and I'm trying to tie some pike flies, following Dougies SBS for the Dahlberg diver and he uses it to stiffen the hair to help the movement.
