Are you looking for alternative tying materials for the Irresistible, or other patterns ?

Hi arkle,
Im just looking for a pattern to use in fast water, cant think of anything other than the Irresistible,or something tied using foam maybe. This summer ive seen quite a few big fish in fast water maybe 8 inch deep,Im thinking a normal dry will will be sunk in no time.
Cheers Brook.

I used to use irresistables but then found the Humpy ,seems to be more buggy IMO.recent years have mainly seen me on quieter waters where more ethereal dressing work better >

Have you tried a Griffith's Gnat with a c.d.c. wing yet ? You can vary the colour(s) to suit your needs/hatches. You can also do it with a loop wing.

The scope for tying patterns to suit this style of fishing are virtually endless.
Paul Proctor & Mike Weaver are "yer men of the moment" for inspiration, in T & S virtually every month.
