Default bread flies

hi all new to the forum.can anyone advise me on what material to use for tying bread flies for mullet .many thanks mick

Hi Mick & welcome along, most guys use white (bleached) or natural deerhair.
You could use chenille, but it's not bulky enough unless you use a foam underbody but that will have the opposite effect & reduce the gape.

I have a few 'bread flies' tied with polystyrene balls. They sort of work. The trout take one look at it and swim away, that is until I add a piece of white bread on to the hook
