Here's a couple that have done well for me..
The first is nothing more than a Black Dabbler with a few tweaks. Could have called it a BD variant but liked the idea of black pearl.
Black Pearl Dabbler.
Hook: Hyabusa 373 #10-12
Thread: UNI-Thread 8/0, black.
Tail: Cock Pheasant side tail fibres.
Body: Mix of black, dark claret and red SF.
Rib 1: Mirage opal, sml.
Rib 2: UTC red wire, sml.
Body Hackle: Black cock.
Wing: Bronze Mallard, cloaked.
Cheeks: JC splits.
The second one is a "new" one, to me at least. First tied last Friday night and has so far accounted for a 6+ Brown and a 4+ Rainbow. Make your own judgement.
Airehead Dabbler.
