Default Simple Para-dun

Here's a pattern I tied for a demo evening I did for the Bristol FDG, using fibbets for tails:

joinned - probably the fibbetts would be the most durable part of the fly as they are made of nylon & due to their taper they will spring away from virtually anything that touches them, & unlike any natural product they won't soften when wet.

As arkle says, they are durable and I have never had a problem with them being damaged by the fish. I splay them using a little loop of thread and theat keeps them positioned well too, even after a fish.
