Can anyone tell me what the differance between a cock and a hen centre tail feather is?

I'm not at home to take pictures and so I've had to rely on images from the web.

Firstly cock pheasant - long fibred and strongly barred -

- usually available died in a variety of enticing colours.

Secondly, hen pheasant, shorter, softer and more mottled in appearance - (not a good picture - sorry!)
