As others have rightly said, it's a paradun alright. That will serve you very nicely indeed as you slip into the vortex of river fishing madness! Tie yourself a black 'un too and fish it under the tree branches come summer

I'm with pretty much with Graham on his verdict. What kinda size is it Carl? Well worth knocking a few up for river work in 18's 16's and 14's.
I use summat similar for pale wateries, and I suspect that's what it's tied for.
Works well on the Wharfe, and Derbyshire Wye/Derwent.
My verdict on the missadventure Mr. Carlos.

I'd have to agree with rob mate, defo. a river pattern and a good one at that. I've fished similar on the ure for many years and it's took more than it's fair share mate.

Micro-fibbetts as marketed by John Betts through Orvis et al are available in a wide colour range. The colour is not dyed onto the nylon but it is integral to the fibres construction. This is true for all the current range of colours, but one of the earlier & now discontinued ones was surface dyed. Probably because the "grizzle" markings came off with either mechanical wear or solvents found in floatants. The nylon is fairly inert & as such will take surface dyes from water-resistant markers okay, but the effect wont last long.

Paul Whillock marketed a very similar fibre which is nearly twice as long & easier to handle.

Wilkinsons sell an own brand paint brush with the finer fibres in both black & white, the 1/2" one is £1.27.
