Default Something for the weekend Sir?.... Spiders Perhaps?

Now that I've crossed to the 'Dark Side' as kindly put by North Country Angler....

And I'm whole heartdley(sp?) set on fishing the KSAA Stretches of the Eden on Saturday, I thought I'd possibly try some of these across the day.

Ive already got the mandatory, Snipe & Purple, Partridge & Orange, Waterhen Bloa, Endrick Spiders, set in the box ready.......

Waterhen & Scarlet

Carl, take some drys as well, we have been getting a decent lunchtime hatch.
You have to keep a close eye for the fish, but if you spot one stick a klink or a Para Adams or a Wickhams or some such thing over him.
Again about 3 pm if the wind keeps off, chance of a hatch.
Good luck and enjoy.

Will try not to drop the camera this time if I get a pull...

Yep Carl, you've definitely got the hang of those spiders - nice work!

Tip - try a woodcock and hare's lug on the Upper Eden (leave a tag of undubbed amber silk at the butt end, then lightly dub some hare as a thorax) - usually works well up there.

You might find the water a bit low right now for the KSADAA water, but as Steven rightly said, concentrate on patiently walking the banks and try to find that rising fish. It might take a long time, but if and when you find him, there is a good chance he will be large!

Let us know how you get on,

M

Carl,
Those flies look as beautifully tied as your still water patterns. A real pleasure to see them. Great post.
