Default picric acid

on ebay is Picric Acid Saturated Aqueous.
Is this the gear that you can use to dye feathers?
If so what method is required to dye the feathers?

If it is 1.3% aqueous it is saturated (as much picric as distilled water will disolve) and will dye your feathers the best. I think that 50grm is all you are allowed but I will update later with more details.

To dye the feathers, just soak them in the solution for up to 24 hours and rinse until the water runs clear. 100ml will be enough for most feathers.

There are some experts here and there is a guy calling himself 'dabhoy'. He is just embarking on this process and may be able to give you more info on a starter basis.

I would recommend searching the forum for "picric acid" and reading the various threads that have covered this topic quite recently.
