Nice fly Buzz!

Just to let you know, I rose a dun-feeding trout on one of your cdcs yesterday, which was in the 2.5 - 3lb class......

......just a pity I struck at it like Ben Elton on speed

Neither.

I have been playing with the idea for a while now and tied a few prototypes over the last couple of months, our discussion above prompted me to post a picture.

It looks fishy to me as well, fingers crossed. I am just not sure how low it will sit in the water. I hope the cdc goes up the way and does not end up looking like a fried egg. Time will tell.

surface tension is a tricky business eh? should work, theres not much to stop the whole body and abs from pentrating the surface, so hopefully forcing the cdc upright-ish rather than just sticking to the surface. atleast i think that what your after

Buzz,

Is the CDC around the post tied in by the tip and wrapped around like a parachute on that fly or is there a trick to it. I like the look of the fly and fancy having a go at a few.

Thanks,

Dovebob
