Might be a bit big for what you want, but I'd recommend a nappy changing table like this ...

I've recently bought a table top and 4 height adjustable legs from Ikea - the table top is 120cm wide. The adjustable legs allow me to get the vice at just the right height - I don't like tying with the vice too low.

I think i will try and make one myself and see how i get on(well it couldn't be any worse tha my flies!!!)

I made my own on a fold down table so it can be put by if need be. I've added magnetic strips on the left and below the bobins since this pic was taking.
