I want to tie this fly ,which is featured in FF & FT February issue ,for their competition. The tag is " Silver twist ". Can anyone assist as to the proprietary name of this material and tell me where I can get some.

Sunray,

Silver Twist is not just "silver tinsel" - it has a round profile - take a look here:

Kind regards

Did not see the article but I believe this to be the "as near" original dressing.

Hook: Low water Iron
Thread: Pearsall's Naples Black
Tip: silver ovalwire
Tail: GP crest
Body: two turns of yellow(lemon) floss remainder black
Rib : silver
Hackle: black (Henny cock)
Wing: Bronze Mallard
Cheeks: Jungle Cock

Silver twist if I remember rightly is an oval tinsel with embossing on it.
