In regards to the kamasan B160 Size 8 and Size 10, both easily fit in a comp gauge. In preference though quite a lot of guys will use a Fulling Mill Short Shank Special Size 6 (this is exactly the same shape as the B160), this is slightly over size, however, all you have to do is bend the eye down slightly to make it fit in the gauge.
This size 6 is great for blobs/ booby blobs as it gives you such a wide gape which makes it a great "hooker" with bulkily tied flies.....
