Hi, ive just starting with this fly tying lark,not doing to badly, but my question is what is the best hook or hooks for tying the egg fly onto ??

Kamasan B160, Partridge "Big Mouth", .........there's loads of others as well. Try googling "wide gape fly hooks" & you'll end up with 9,600 + options.
