Default Help with materials

Hi guys,

My first post in here, I have just started tying and attend a local club once a week, I have been practicing and would like to tie one of these, a pink flasher (red eye smelt).

I am just unsure what is meant by craft fur, is that a trade name can I use anything else? I would prefer to use the modern type of synthetics.

Thanks in advance.

Jim,

It's just that - synthetic fur used in arts and crafts (Making soft toys etc). Oz sells it (http://www.uksaltwaterflies.com/fly_...c_matrials.htm) and you may find it at places like Hobbycraft too.

Many thanks,

I had earmarked that stuff just wanted confirmation.

What size Mylar Tubing would you recommend the small or medium?

I followed your step by step at the weekend to tie the clouser my first solo fly

You would be so proud lol
