All I'll say is... I've seen some so called DB's, tied with yer 'essential' peacock, that are a million miles away from what a DB should be. If you get me drift like...

There are many non-peacock bodied variants around, including my seals fur offerings, that are closer in profile, form, function and spirit than some 'classic' tyings.

Lovely examples of the Diawl Bach, excellent tying everyone - just soooo nicely done. Mine don't come out that good - so I must do a bit more practice I think.

With such clear picture of tying like this it's a pleasure to try and copy the work and to see where I think I went wrong! Thanks so much for the visual encouragement!!!

Peter simply forgot to put the white goose or duck wing on, hence the fly appears in the wrong section of his book
