Angry Hayabusa

I would like to find a supplier of Hayabusa hooks but it seems like I am bashing my head of a brick wall. Rutland Fishing have them but they are short of size 12s and the black nickel hooks.

If anyone knows a supplier give me a shout. I will probably be buying for three or four mates as well.

I think that the only two retailers that import Hayabusa hooks into the UK are Rutland and Celtic Flycraft.

Kind regards

Phone Ian Mckenzie at Fulling Mill. Fulling Mill Scorpion hooks are re-packaged Hayabusas. If you buy them by the 1,000 from FM, they normally come in the Hayabusa box.

Yes, Rutland Fishing is Eyebrook tackle shop.

Bill McIlroy also sells these, if you can find him.

Rutland Water lodge don't import them, they buy them in from another and re package under the Anglian Water banner.

Stuart Ilsley of Eyebrook Tackle, formerly known as Rutland Fishing, sells them, although I don't believe he brings them in either.

Fulling Mill imports them I believe, most are used to make their flies and some go for resale as Scorpions.

A few large producers of commercial flies had accounts with Hayabusa, to bring them in on the premise they were only to be used for making their flies, not for resale, however lost their accounts when they couldn't resist re selling them on, split up into 100s.

Thats why in the last few years there was periods of a glut, then nothing.

Very very hard to get an account with Hayabusa direct. Some claim to have them, most of those are bullschitting. There are the favoured few and they intend to keep it that way.

Tightlines!

The Pirate.

Managed to get some black size 12 761s and black 384s so far after your replies. Still looking for black 387s. I will keep searching and use any advice you guys come up with.

Thanks everyone
