Scot, for natural feathers go to Steve Cooper a.k.a. cookshill fly tying, call him on 01782 388382, Don't waste your time on rubbish material, you WILL get frustrated & probably end up throwing it away & start buying flies again.

Go to the www.the-fdg.org site & look for your nearest branch, if it's within "casting distance" contact the secretary & he will fall over himself to help you with the best sources of local supplies etc. Join the branch via the website offer & you'll not only get a reasonable kit to start with, but a decent instruction book, a years membership with loads of advantages (often including discounted materials etc), insurance and access to tuition and many other things.

Best of luck.

Hi Bruno.
The advise given so far is spot on I've only been tying myself for a few months now and I used to shop everwhere but here on this forum is the place for getting quality materials at great prices which at first I thought did not matter that much HOW WRONG WAS I also the advise is second to none.

there was a thread running in a similar vain which I think lists a lot of the suppliers on the forum which come highly recommended.

best place for materials

Best of luck.
