I mean , what is the diffrence in fly tying thread and the stuff in my wife's box?
I've got Dunvilles and its not very strong so what if I needed a bit of white and had none .
Can I use a bit of the wife's basket.

No laws against using anything you like mate. Whether it's silk straight out of silkworms ****,or swag pilfered from yer wifes sewing box... if you can handle it,run it round a hook and it fits the bill then it'll do. May not be perfect or turn out to be very versatile, but if it's means to an end, then use it.

Hi Reservoirdog.
I must agree I have found the same with Danvilles thread great colours but I've had this break more than any other?
I also asked a similar question to yourself about threads.

The most significant difference is ownership - eleventh commandment.
