I have been using "micro" dry flies the last couple of seasons and size 20-22s at this time of year. Small flies catch big fish

I have settled on Varivas IWI S-2OOO as the most satisfactory combination of strength vrs weight vrs hook ups for upwing imitations.
I am not daft on their other hooks they seem to either straighten or you dont get the hook ups. I would go as far as to say their 2200 range are verging on **** IMHO, why everyone seems to rave about them escapes me?
Like most folk i highly rate Tiemco hooks, there are so many styles to choose from. The 103BL must be the sexiest hook on the planet.
If parachutes are your thing i like the straight eye of the Jardines hooks for small dries and midges F107 and while light so far have proved very strong.
Dont also forget Partridge their SLD and SUD are good in the 18-20 size and also can be bought in multiples of 25 from pretty much most shops.
