Default Flies for Isle of Harris Salmon

I'm going to the Isle of Harris next week so I've been tying up some flies for the salmon and sea trout in the lochs.
Last year I took salmon on muddlers of a yellow or golden olive colour. So I've tied these but also some dark coloured versions to ring the changes + a blue version because I got some nice blue died deers hair from Sam McGowan together with a red grizzle cape, a black claret cape and a blue grizzle cape.
All the other ingredients are from Artifly (thanks Gerry)

For the point flies which caught more seatrout last year.

I've taken a few liberties. I've used black died mallard instead of black stoats tail because I think that, dabbler style, this material has more movement. I haven't tied this in with a proper wing style but have gone for a straggly look. I've incorporated flashabou mirage into the tail flies.

nice flies should do the business, what kind of hook did you use for the muddlers.

The muddler hooks are Varivas 2410V - "Deep Wide Wet". I got them from Lakeland Fly Tying.

Salmon on Irish loghs find it hard to resist a green peter size 10.
BTW what fish could resist those flies you tied.

Those two claret muddlers and the black and red are guaranteed to snag you a fish or two up there. Is that Gerrys blood red deer hair you've used.....? must get some.Good luck.

Hi Wee Jimmy
The deer hair is Gerry's claret dyed.

Thanks for all the nice compliments everyone. Will have to see how they work in lochs. Next time I photogrph black flies I won't use a black background!
Tightlines!
