I have trouble find one shop that does everyting I need! I've always had good service from Lakeland flytying though stock can be hit n miss. Also use artifly and been happy.

Just to really confuse you would add Niche, Flytek and Bogdan Gawlik. And don't believe that you'll save money tying your own.
As been said in previous threads decide what flies you want to tie and start with material for them then build up from there.
Have dealt with most if not all of the guys mentioned and have found them always willing to advise what's best for what you need.
GAC used to be good when Davie McPhail worked there as he would always keep you right.

Hi UF
I can only speak for myself but I've had good quality materials and service from the following suppliers;

ebay

Hilltop Fly Tying Supply Shop - General Materials (in US)
The Bigreel - Kamasan hooks and General Materials
Hoochienaballs - Wax

Online shops

jimsfly.com - capes (in US)
lakeland - General Materials ( stock levels can be an issue)
fish4ituk.co.uk - General Materials
oreillysfishing.co.uk - General Materials, Kamasan Hooks
troutlure.net - Good for Tungsten beads
cookshill-flytying.co.uk - Quality Materials

Forum Members

The Pirate-Lines
Big Reel-Materials,hooks
Terry Phillips-Dilly wax,Tungsten Beads etc
Oreilly-Hooks Materials
Tango51-wax

You should soon see which suppliers are quality by the ones who are continually mentioned.

Cheers. Happy Buying

Cookshill for naturals ALWAYS is the fFirst call. Chevron hackles are also well worth a look/call.

Cookshill get good reports, best for natural materials
Lakeland appear to be good but like others say stock can be hit & miss.
Sportfish & John Norris seem to cover my basic needs. There are many others as listed but any supplier is only as good as their last order & a few that have been mentioned have had issues with customers over the years.

Had recent dealings with Terry Phillips at Troutlure.net couldn't fault his service, it's hard to find a supplier that has everything under one roof.
