Default New Vise

Would like a new vise,

Started looking at HMH Spartens etc but now thinking true rotary might be better for tying my saltwater flies #6 up to 6/0

Like the look of Renzetti Salt Traveller, DK Trekker and the Peak Vise.

Of course the LAW bench looks pretty good too! $$$

Hi,

Have a look at the Atlas Anvil.

www.anvilusa.com

I bought one last year and am very pleased with it.

Seach e.bay as I got a good price importing it from the states.

Regards
Amber

I've got a Renzetti Traveller and a DK Treckker. Out of the two I think the jaws on the traveller will last longer as I've had some terrible wear on the Trekker. The only thing with the Traveller is the possibility of the "O" ring getting lost or splitting although you can get a packet of "O" rings from a hardwear store/plumbers merchants for about 50p so it's not much of a problem.

Having said all that I am leaning in the direction of a LAW myself at the moment. It won't help tie better flies but I've not heard of anyone having problems with jaw wear or O ring splitting. It seems pretty impervious to wear and tear.
