Default Available patterns using

The title was meant to say "Available patterns using material I have at hand"

Hi,

If I have a certain material and I am looking to use it to tie a fly, is there a website which could tell me fly patterns that will use this material. For example I could type in peacock herl + copper wire + Ginger cock feathers and one of the options would be a Diawl Bach fly.

I dont have any dodgy materials, just looking for different things to try from my materials

I was on www.diptera.co.uk/ but their search function isnt working.

Thanks for your help,

Graeme

i would just go with what you have on hand and start tying. you never know, it could be the next greatest fly

you can always use GOOGLE and type in the search box "flies using (whatever material)" lets try peacock

https://www.google.com/search?q=flie...w=1600&bih=775

Thanks for the suggestions.

I could make up my own flies but as I am just starting out I wouldnt mind following some patterns. I am basically tying the same stuff over and over again tho and was looking for some other patterns.

I will try the link that was posted for ideas and google is a great idea also.

thanks
