Default Irish Shrimps

Tried some Irish Shrimp flies ,not to happy with the amount of turns I had to use with the natural badger and it still seems a bit sparse.

Corky
Nice flies. They will catch fish. Sometimes I think we all want more bulk than necessary on the hackles. Hoe many turns have you made on the badger - nice badger by the way.
I sometimes tie shrimp tails with an GP rump feathered dyed orange. It seems to make the tail stand out better

Honest about 5 turns ,some by the tip others the stem, its to many turns I think for such a sparse finish. Not that I'm looking for a beautiful fly to show of I want to fish it .

Some grand flies there Corky. A lot of the lads up this way like their flies tied sparse so they are spot on. I have no doubt they will take a fish or two.
