I found turning the hook upside down when trying to attach " the beard " was a bit easier . Don't worry hopefully one of the pros will be on shortly to keep us right Terry

Hi Guys,

I'm most definitely not a pro, but as Diawl Bachs are my favourite pattern to fish and tie, I have found the easiest way to get a beard hackle 'nice' is to turn the hook upside down, and the easiest way to do that is get a rotary vice. I got a Snowbee FlyMate in November and my tying has come on leaps and bounds since then, neater flies with less hassle!

Oh, and nevermind the Antermony, get yourself upto Whitefield Pond in Campsie!
