Default deer creek uv resin

hi all has anyone used this stuff im thinking of getting some
iv tried bug bond but feel it still leaves the fly tacky and i need to give it a coat of varnish after words
and was wondering if anyone has tried the stuff from deer creek and if so does it have the same tacky feel to it afterwords

I bought the cheapest one from them and it works a treat.
No tacky residue, set time can be slow if you go for the cheap torch.

But even with the cheap torch it works fine.

1 thing i did notice with it though. Im not sure if its a problem with all uv resins, is if i touch it after curing and its not varvished it turns white/cloudy. Its not sticky or tacky. it just turns cloudy.
When i spoke to them via email about this, they said it happens with all uv resins. Im not sure if that true or not because iv only tried deer creek.

if you mean when you touch it it goes cloudy then ye but when it gets wet it goes clear again
that happens with the bug bond

Yeah thats what i was meaning

The guy from deer creek said it was something to do with 'stuff' coming off your skin :-/

cool thanks for that i think ill order some as the bug bond is doing my nut in whats the point in using the stuff if you have to varnish over it

I use Mr Bond from Piketrek I also use Bugbond and I prefer the Piketrek because I do not get the sticky residue. Overall they are both good products.

if you are going to order diamond hard resin, get the latest one they offer. it is tack free!

Just got the above from Deer Creek with their new pencil torch. Looks like a nice piece of kit, lookin forward to trying it out........
