Well you're nearly there. Proportion is ok, everything is happening in the right place. The eyes are not crowded and clear of thread-I always found that hard to do but yours are good. Someone told me when I started pull off the amount of dubbing you think you need, then half it, the half you have left half again-use that. I thought no way...but yes they were right. Cut down on the amount of dub you use Terry. Try half and half again, you can always add more if you find it's getting to sparse. Stick with everything else you're doing and see the diff.

Cheers

Chris.

I agree with Christy.

you've created a sort of thorax on them. I've usually seen them tied with the rib up to the front breathers. I'm sure that yours will do just as well, although as Christy says - perhaps less dubbing

Terry, Having spent many days afloat with Dave Shipman and Gary Munro can I say those are spot-on despite all the varients of the pattern... the 'original' does look overdressed for a reason... Glad the materials and the 'original' pattern I sent you are of help!

Bigtel,
your flys are coming on great wat a difference in a couple of days , your dubbing
is a lot better and 1 more turn of rib would have done it for me keep up the good work.

That's interesting. I always assumed that the slim dressing and ribbing up to the breathers was the original dressing.

My apologies bigtel. Best ignore my ill informed comment.

Thanks Captain for the information.
