Default light rod

Thinking of fishing size12s and 14s buzzers this summer,
Would i benefit using a 9ft rod line size 5.or just use my present set up,
A Sharpes Gordon 9ft6 line size 7.
And use a lighter leader eg 4 lbs bs.

And the relevance to fly tying is....................?

It really isn't difficult -

Fly Tying thread - fly tying topics
Tackle thread - tackle topics
Photos thread - photos!
Viewpoint - *******s!

There - easy.

4lb leader on a 7# rod is probably asking for trouble. I'd go for the 5# rod. alternatively, use a fine diameter fluorocarbon such as that marketed by Rio.

I use 5lb on my #7 on river and loch, with dry fly, nymph and wet fly, without any problems.
