--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Myself and a few others have made small donations that will be passed onto Lorna Steve's mum for her to use as she See's necessary as it can be a costly time.
No doubt Steve would not be insured as all boys at 28 think insurance don't need that well it can be an expensive time speaking from experience.
Kevin-Morayflyfisher spoke with Lorna and I believe this was in fact the situation.
If anyone would like to make such a donation Kevin Moss has kindly agreed to collect it through his pay-pal account if you PM him for details.
This is not for a charity this is a collection from friends on a network that would like to help his mum at this sad and difficult time.
No matter how small it will be thankfully received and respectively applied.

I also have a Fox box with 54 flies that Steve Tied and donated to the Daniel Murray Memorial Day these were almost if not the last flies he tied as i thanked him the day before his passing.
I will post a picture of them if my good friend Humungus will upload it for me and will auction these off with all the proceeds going back to Steve's mum under the circumstances. I will also start the bidding at £100 come on guys lets do our best he was one of us charity begins at home lets help this wee family out.
I understand there are future events going to take place raising funds but this support will help immediately.

Thanks George for that and I can only reiterate the point of insurance for everyone,it is something that you never know when you will need it,but in this case it is invalid as with all insurances.

Should anyone prefer paypal (I didn't want to do it this way but if it helps I don't mind) the paypal is kevin228b@yahoo.co.uk

I will wait a week and send what has been donated in one cheque to Lorna and will let everyone know when received.I will ensure that Lorna also knows each person who has donated and I'm sure she will thank everyone when things are all sorted as it is a bad time still.

She has told me she wants to pay for the funeral and a nice headstone and any left over will go to lochaber hope. She will keep all receipts and anyone who would like to see them would be welcome.

Lorna is so gratefully to everyone and cant believe in the kindness of you guys.

I can only second that a thousand times over, anglers like you all are special people and I know Stevie was proud to be part of us all here.

Thank you to you all.

fortbhoys mum is on a distinguished road
Default Re: fortbyoy:

I am Stevie's (Fortbhoys) Mum. I wanted to come on and say thank you to Kevin and everybody who sent a donation to me in person. I cannot thank you enough, especially in this day and age when times are hard. I am just going to bed and I will come on properly and reply before end of week. It was 5 weeks yesterday (valentines day) that he died. He was the most gorgeous son in the whole world, inside and out and I cannot believe that he is no longer with us but I also cannot believe that you kind people wrote so many touching things about him and were so kind that you actually send donations in his memory. I have only read them once and I cried the whole way through the few ones I did manage to read, I got to the point I could read no more as I was so touched by all the lovely things said about him, even people who did not know him and will try and reply personally before the end of the week. What a lovely site and Kevin and George thank you so much.

I do not know yet at this point who else to thank but I only joined tonight so I will need to take time out when I get 5 mins and go through all the beautiful posts and comments in the forums and threads and the people who sent a donation and everybody who said such kind things about him a personal thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What a wonderful site. I am going to bed now, I am so tired but I will be on soon to read and personally thank you all.

With the warmest and kindest regards, Lorna (Stevie's mum). Bless you all xx

No need for thanks, Lorna, but we understand that you won't rest until you've thanked everyone. Take your time and take it easy, and just try if you can to draw some comfort and solace from the kind words and deeds shown by the lads and lasses of the forum. You don't need me or anyone else to tell you this, but I'll say it anyway - you are rightly very proud of your boy. He will long be remembered, and remembered fondly on here too.
