Default Whiting saddles - more available but still priced far too high

Whiting Genetic Saddle Bronze Grade - Lakeland Fly-Tying Limited

I am glad that a couple of years ago I bought all the colours I could imagine using when they were £20 each!

Dry Fly Rooster Saddles | Dette Trout Flies

has them in stock (bronze) for $35 (22 quid)

Flat shipping rate international $25, so not worth it for one....

Im also lucky and have a fair few saddles not that there are many left at lakeland ,and wonder if a lot of it hasn't been bought up by other retailers or is it all the people stocking up again after selling all their previous ones at inflatted prices.

Those are Hebert. Not the same thing at all.

They're $56 at JS Fly Fishing. I think I last paid $29.

Yup, clicked on the wrong ones (because I always buy Hebert-Miner for the great natural colors, the value and the excellent way they tie in my hands)..

I think that they will go down again someday, the hair style fad is dying slowly. Whiting farms adjusted the amount of birds to cater, so once the supply becomes greater then demand prices should drop again.

Even if the the price goes down, I doubt they will pass the saving onto us. More than likely their profits will increase and we will still be left paying the same price

I'm afraid prices will not go down at all, the two biggest costs for Whiting Farms are fuel to keep the sheds warm in winter and grain to feed the birds. The price of both has gone though the roof in the past two years, We would have seen substantial price rises without the hairdresser effect,

Cheers
