Basic normally is best, little cracker. Personally think I'd prefer a little less marabou.

Am intersted in the Fritz, it would appear to have occaisional strands of another colour in ?
Rest of the fly is top notch, both in tying, proportions and the 'basic' pattern itself.

i've been tying for a about 4 years, but the arrival of 2 kids in 2 years has seen the vice.......and fishing rods gathering dust recently!! i got the tying gear back out the other day to get back into the swing of things, and perpare for my holiday to the midlands ressys in may and for the new season starting feb 1st at langley dam, my local fishery

the red head is globrite no5 and the fritz is straggle n gold, i think its by big reel but its been a while since i bought it and i cant remember. ( i always like a bit marabou in my lures, confidence thing)

Really like this mate, like you i like a bit marabou. Adds to movement IMO. Would defo have some of these in my box..

I think that would do very well early season where I fish-also good with black marabou.The head gives it a little extra appeal-nice fly

Thats very nice, i also like using the flashabou dubbing in chartreuse for my mini competition cats, tie that beauty on doubles aas well
