Default A couple of Midge

A couple for the buzzer fisherman, first a subsurface pattern then the emerger.

Stripped Quill Buzzer
Hook: Kamasan B160 (10-14)
Thread: Black Hyperfine 18/0
Tail: White Egg Yarn
Body: Stripped Peacock Eye
Thorax: Black Hyperfine 18/0
Thorax Cover: Black Raffene tied back on itself to form a fold
Cheeks: Sunburst Flexi Floss

Note:
The entire fly is covered with 3 coats of Hard as Nails, leaving 8 hours drying between each coat.

Emerging Buzzer
Hook: Waterwisp or Turrall Sedge (16-22), size 20 shown below
Thread: Black Hyperfine 18/0
Detached Shuck: Translucent Polythene (coated in Megashine)
Body: Stripped Peacock Eye
Wing Buds: Pearl Sheet cut into ovals
Para Hackle: Grizzle Cock
Thorax: Dark Grey CDC (Petijean Style)
Thorax Cover: Black foam
