Here is one of my Green Highlander variants. should do the trick hopefully!!!!!

Looks like the jury is still out on this one.
Is that the head that you can bend forward to make it a sort of popper?
Is it more a high water fly (spate)?

looks nice is that Maribou as the two hackles?

I love the green highlander one of my favorite flies for salmon I got about 20 of them in my box I'm currently trying to tie up the classic Green Highlander just can't get peace to do it but they are excellent in the water

very well tied fy, is that a FITS head? For me its a bit bright, i would swap the black and yellow around or add green on top of the wing but thats just personal preferance.

yeah it the FITS plastic cone in a small. I have used different front hackles in order to give me different colours and textures.

the hackles are soft hackles bought from my friend Neil at Angus Angling in forfar. they just swim really well and work effectively. The green in a ostrich hackle. GAC have them for about £6 a packet

It does look bright in the picture....probably not helped by the flash on my iphone. Doesn't look that bright in the flesh....

A great fly for the Tay and Dee. If the hackle at the head was black it would be a better flee for the Dee.
