Default Trico - Vs - spiderweb

Iv been tying up some klinks and was wondering what the differance between spiderweb and the trico threads are. And what would be best to use for klinks.

Iv been using the trico thread for the klinks, but im wondering if the spiderweb would be better ?

Thanks

Although a lot people use Spiderweb for tying in the hackle and wingposts on Klinks I find Hends Synton is a great thread for the job its as thin as Spiderweb but a lot stronger.

GG Sheer is good thread with a nice range of colours, but it is poorly spooled. I seem to waste more than I use. I use spiderweb but hate using markers to colour it.
Would the Synton product be good one the micro hooks? #22 to #28? thanks!

what do you mean by poorly spooled and why do you waste a lot of it? i use sheer 14/0 for really small flies and it works for me. thanks

I know exactly what you mean can be very frustrating.

My Sheer is very poorly spooled. I have wasted yards because loops (not at the end) unwound. Eventually the loose loop tangles into a mess and you need to cut it clear. And eventually you catch up with where you cut it off. It's happened to spool after spool for me.

Hends Synton us the way to go. It is a double-stranded material which will tie down to the smallest hooks you will ever use (for silly sizes like 32 you could use one of the two strands). I used to use Sheer, but it was so badly spooled that I finished up chucking most of it away. Now it is Synton every time for me.
