Default Classic irish wet flies ...

What would be the best known irish wet flies?

I currently can think on the Bumble series, dabblers, goats toe, Gosling.

Any others I've missed?

Thanks
AL

Thumbs up Re: Classic irish wet flies ...

Sooty Olive Fiery Brown Green Peter Raymond Invicta Green/Golden Olive, Black Pennel Murrough Daddy. That lot plus what you mentioned will do you nicely.
Also Gorgeous George and Octopus. Probably a few variations will appear along the way

Dont forget all the wet may flies.
There is quite a few cross overs between several of the Irish lough flies and the Scottish loch flies.

The "Fenian", tied with floss rather than fur is an excellent wild trout fly.

A couple of my favorites for early buzzer hatches are the Kingsmill and on the middle dropper a red arrow .
Ok to make up the cast a claret bumble for a little fuss on the lift !So thats 3 ,2 not mentioned before .
That team has worked well over the years on Bewl and grafham in particular .
