Default Whiting cape colour

I have just treated myself to a few new capes in readiness for my first go at river dry's.
I splashed out and bought a Whiting red label silver grade silver badger cape but on receiving it whilst being a lovely quality cape the colour of the feathers are more of a light golden colour with a black centre as oposed to white with a black centre
I thought a silver badger was white with a black center and a golden badger was more golden.

The packaging states silver badger but have they put the wrong cape in as I was also planning on buying a golden badger but dont want two capes the same

If you look here you will see that the difference between the silver badger and golden badger colours is the intensity of the golden hue. Obviously, given these are natural colours and not dyed, each cape will vary slightly. The silver cape must be lovely - it'll last a good while!

I have plenty of whiting capes , Silver badger and golden badger among them. The silver badger should be exactly that white/silver with black centre, I would query it. A golden badger may vary but silver badger should be what it says ...

I agree silver badger should be almost white. I have a couple Capes where the color is not as described. Send it back if you have a problem. usually if you all the seller for something specific they will find the best match

Cheers for all the advice. The cape that I have whilst being of fantastic quality is deffinately more of a light gold colour than white. Ive also aquired a Whiting pro grade badger cape which is exactly as I expected being white and black so I think I will return the silver cape for a replacement that is more of a silver badger than a golden

Um, if you have a pro grade silver badger, which is what you want, why get another? Pro grades seem perfectly decent to me. I'd either hang onto the golden badger for a bit of variety, or return it and get something different maybe a furnace or a dun.
