Very nice flies mate.
Just ordered some MOP RB myself and cant wait to try it when it arrives.
Can you tell me what hackle you have used on them both as I love the colours

Do you not think the wire is inappropriately sized for the hook? (way too thick) Also, on a nymph I would halve the length of the tail. Thoughts?

the wire is actually ice stretch lace Steve. it looks thick on the macro shot. in real size it looks fine. the tail i think that's a matter of preference. but thanks for the comments.

ps. the hackle is olive greenwells hen.

All good and no alterations needed in my mind.
The tail on the second photo looks the same as some pheasant tail I died picric, only left it soak for 4hours.
