Exclamation Air Bubble's

Hello Guys, Can anyone tell me why this fly has so many air bubbles on it compared to the others, the photo's were all taken in the same glass of tap water, the body has Sally Hanson on it,the thorax is seals fur,and the hackle is a cock hackle. Thanks Robbie.Click the image to open in full size.ure262-1.jpg[/IMG]MG]Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

I'm wondering if you tied the other patterns with hackle pliers and used your fingers to wind the hackle on the bubbled one. Or if that one had been handled more than the others, so that grease or sweat from your finger tips has imparted on the fibres and had a waterproofing effect.

Hello,
Did you put the fly with the bubbles in the glass of cool tap water before the other two? And took the picture right after putting the last two?
If you did as above, is the explanation:
The solubility of the air dissolved in tap water decreases as the water T° increase, so tiny air bubbles are created and you'll get them on the glass and on any object immersed in the water. Redo the experiment with any other flies, hooks... or a pen ....immersed in water and you'll see these tiny bubbles on the surface.
