You can pick it up from any good fly tying materials outlet on-line and on here too.Just purchase a hard wax and a soft dubbing wax and give them a blast.
When I'm dubbing I use the grease from my forehead.

http://globalflyfisher.com/tiebetter/dubbingwax/ make your own dubbing wax.

Lakeland wax: http://www.lakelandflytying.com/200/dubbing_wax.aspx

Cobblers. Used to wax primrose thread for Greenwell's Glories.
A good dubbing wax is "RUMPF", says extra tacky wax but it's about right.
There is also LOON tacky and extra tacky wax.
In my early days of tying, I used TIRRELL'S liquid wax. Just a drop worked along the thread with a dubbing needle. There is also bees wax. Now I rarely use wax and if having difficulty, I just wet my fingers when applying dubbing to the thread.

I use wax occasionally. i have glue stick style I got from someone. Trouble if I use wax I cannot slide the dubbing up the tread so I try not to use it.

Two people spring to mind, talk to Ed at: Welcome to Ford's Fly Tying Shop
They make their own wax and good it is to, also you will find Ed helpful with any questions flytying.

The other is Bill Bailey's Fly Tying Wax. You can contact Bill on the forum his forum name is wsbailey. Another helpful and knowledgeable man with a great product. Hth.

Chris.
