Should think there's plenty that would be suitable, but I use Tulip brand fluo orange fabric paint, as it's easy to apply, quite thick, and quick drying.

As i have mentioned before on the forum, i have used many materials for buzzer cheeks
And they all work, but as i'm getting lazy in my old age i am now using tulip paint more than ever.
the tube has a fine point, and the paint does not run, this enables you to apply a nice fine line of paint.
I only use Orange and Yellow, but red and green, would be handy to use.

I never found Tulip paint thick enough, strangely.

I got some model paint and use that for fluoro green buzzer cheeks very effectively, but the yellow was not so effective.

I have never had any trouble, usually one coat does it, but it is easy to apply a second coat over the first coat.
I forgot to mention, sometimes i coat the thorax of the finished buzzer with uv glow nail polish purchased cheap as chips on ebay, when looking at them with a uv torch, the thorax really glows.

Goose biots look the best for buzzer cheeks but it takes more time tying them in rather than using just paint. Orange car paint in small tubes with a brush is handy to use.
There are loads of things you can use such as raffine, floss, fine slim foam, Dyed orange pheasant tail. Experimenting does the trick.

I agree experimenting is the answer, goose biots are good, especially the electic range from Artifly.
Holographic tinsel, has a nice flash when coated with Hard as nails.
I found some interesting cheeks from Flyshack.co.uk which are narrow strips of colour foils all your usual colours £1.60 a pkt advertised as buzzer cheek.
Regarding Tulip paint, i don't use fluorescent i find their normal orange and yellow usually covers in one go.

Best guy working with paint I know is a guy on another forum and he uses humbrol but he leaves it to dry up a bit for a few hours before applying.

This is an example of Leon's work.

I find it difficult to work with personally.
