Default Muntjac

Subject has come up every once in a while but can't find a source. Does anyone have any clues as to how to obtain a patch of Muntjac without going down the gun licence route?

Be grateful for any positive replies - thanks for looking in the meantime.

Is there a reason it has to be muntjac rather than any other deer hair ?

You could ask Gander as I believe he got some in 2004

Fly Fishing Forums - Muntjac Deer Hair
Thin hair - a bit like mine only people can tye with Muntjac. I'd kill anyone who came within 10 feet of my scalp with what it has left.

Yep it has to be the gun route I guess.

You have an email - in a minute.

Go for deer hock.

Muntjac are a pain to skin and that plus their small size may mean it isn;t easy to get them commercially. Must be plenty of people on here stalking though...

One suggestion would be to Google muntjac stalking in your area and speak to a guide.
