Start with simple easy to tie flies such as Gold Ribbed Hares Ear and Pheasant Tail Nymph and maybe The Woolly B-gger. Once you can tie them well then move on. Find what materials you need and have a look on Davie McPhails videos for ideas or maybe buy a few flies just to get the idea of the techniques. I know it,s hard to not be impatient, but you really have to learn to walk before you can run when it comes to tying flies. I look at some of my early efforts and can,t believe how bad they were yet you can only get better by practicing and for Goodness sake don,t fork out for a kit. Some times you can find bargains at craft and pound shops. Just keep asking on here and you,ll get loads of help.

You can spend little or lots-all depends on how much you want to get into fly tying. I shudder to think the money I,ve spent on my "passion"!
