Default Kamasan B170 or B175 for river wet flies?

About to purchase some Kamasan fly hooks; Would B170 or B175 be best for wet flies of which will be used mainly on rivers? I need size 8, 10, 12 and 14.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Happy new year to you all!

Daryl

I use B175's for wets, they're a bit heavier than the 170's, but they're for loch fishing. Perhaps the 170's would suit rivers a little better though.

I'd say B170 mate. Size 8 in a B175 would be an anchor in the river.

I'd say 170's too. When I want weight I'll add a bead.

What are you tying on the 8's, streamers? Then maybe a 175 would be better in this size.

Another vote for the lighter B170 for both river wets & nymphs.
