Default Where do you get yours?:)

Just a quickie all. Trying to start out fly tying and after a bit of info please.
Where do you all get your basics from ie dubbing, hackles, threads, wires etc. I've been scouring the internet and found a wide variety of prducts and prices and it's all a bit bewildering for someone trying to start out.

So, please, can anyone recommend a good site where I can get decent materials at a good value?

Thx in advance to all and to all a good New Year!

Toby at FunkyFlyTying ....

Fly Tying Materials from Funky Fly Tying

Phil at The Fly Tying Boutique ...

Flytying Boutique - Online shop

Lakeland ...

Fly-tying materials and fly tying tools and accessories - Lakeland Fly-Tying

I recommend these three because they offer quality materials and excellent service.

Got pretty much all my stuff from ebay (both new and second hand)...not been disappointed. Also used YGA CATALOGUE and again...very good.

The problem with searching too much when starting up, is that you end up comparing a difference in prices of 10p here and 30p there. Why not contact one of the traders on here and ask them for advice, I'm sure you'll get a great deal for a mixed order.

I'd recommend Ed at Fords Fly Tying personally (trade member), great guy with a decent range of materials at a good price and a good knowledge of tying

No one shop does it all and is really a case of shopping around and knowing what ou really need , otherwise you will end up with lots of materials that just end up in drawers gathering dust like most of us do.
The names given in the previous threads are all good but there are plenty more.

Main two for me are , Fly Tying Boutique "Phil" & Trout Line Ro "Lucian" . But to be honest there is very few on here I wouldn't trust when it comes to quality .
