Default Flashabou klink

Saw an olive version of this in a mag, think it was ff&ft. Anyway thought it looked neat so had a go myself

I saw this recently....and thought, what's the point? You'd have difficulty seeing the fly..oh there it is...oh, it's gone...missed the take...oh, no, there it is....victim of light conditions.

It would also be glinting and spooking fish...cannot see a place for this fly...

I agree - none of that flashabou would be visible to the fish, hence the reason Hi-Viz is often used.

Doh, another fly to catch Fishers instead of fish. Thanks for the input, won't bother tying anymore of them

The trout/grayling are the final judges ,the wing post might just be a trigger in certain light conditions .
Do give it a try ,let the fish be the jury !

Whats wrong Santa not bring u a big enough dummy why put the fly on and ask ( Any c+c welcome thanks) then when members give u there thoughts on it u take a cream puff and say u,ll not tie anymore I,ve took a lot worse comments on flys I,ve posted in the past but its only comments if u dont want them then dont ask for them

Nice fly, but i would wager that it could be difficult to get it to float properly. The flashabou would not have the same floating properties as poly prop or areo wing, id say its to dense and heavy. I think it would make the fly top heavy causing it to sink or float on its side.

I dont think he was going in a cream puff, im guessing that he was just saying he wont tie any more with the flashabou in the post.

At least that's the way i took it
