Default Easy way to strip Quill

Hi
I wonder if any one knows easier way to strip the Quill for making a Buzzers Bodies. Its very difficult to strip the peacock eye feather?

A guy in our fly tying club used Imac.
He said it done a great job but he had to put the quills in conditioner after the Imac.

They looked good to me but the were stinking of hair conditioner

Train the wife / kids to do it, same as knotted legs. Simplest way I know.

Haven't tried it but you can use bleach.

Ink erasers are excellent if you can find one. If not, the plastic type erasers (Staedtler) are the ones to use. Cheap soft rubber ones just aren't up to the job.
I notice that the guy in the video kind of skimmed over it, and didn't show the end product.
